confess To confess your sins to Jesus and the Heavenly Father, all you need is your desire to change. God will read your heart and if you are sincere, will feel the Holy Spirit as you confess and pray in true sincerity. Many will say that to confess, you must go to a Minister or Priest to hear your confessions! This is far from bible truth and the word of God as in the bible it reads:

(Romans 10:9-13) "But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.' For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.'"

A Minister or Priest can help guide you better on how not to sin, but true confession is made to Jesus himself and no other from your own heart with true sincerity. God is all around us and hears us no matter where we are in the world. After your confession, it is also a good idea to have others pray for you to be strong in the fight against sin. The more people pray for each other, the better things get.

But if our sins are against others, you should confess them to the person effected by the sin, as well as Jesus. This way the person also grants you forgiveness and helps the healing process in yourself so there is no guilt when or if this other person is with you. (James 5:16) "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed." But on the other hand, if they are just personal sins, confess them to the Lord with all your heart and try not to do that sin again.

You also have to realize that we are all sinners, and even everyday life has sin all around us. This world is a cesspool of sin with the internet, persuasive dressing of men and women, the sinful shows on TV with filthy topics, as well as other sins that pop up from time to time that sometimes we do not even realize we are doing it till later on. The only thing any of us as humans can do is keep praying, try to stay strong and keep Jesus in our hearts so that we do not fall so often to sin. Also as you are filled with the Holy Spirit, your mind over time will condition itself to make you aware of sin. This will later help you to avoid it at all cost since sin is death, and since you want to live in Christ, you have to avoid any sin at all cost.

Here are some prayers you can follow to help guide you:

Set Confession

(You may use your own words, or the words below)

Merciful God,
I confess that you are my Lord and Saviour;
who have died on the cross for my sins.
I confess to you now that I have sinned.
I confess the sins that no one knows
and the sins that everyone knows;
the sins that are a burden to me
and the sins that do not bother me
because I have gotten used to them.
I confess that I have lived superficially.
I have pushed to the back of my mind
the questions that trouble me.
I have not found time to face
the emotions that disturb me.
I have hidden from life behind habit,
activity and entertainments.
I have avoided you my God, even as you came after me.
In my relationships I have given
less than my whole self
and I have not received from others what they wished to give me of their selves.
I have countered the sharp demands of justice
with a hardened heart.
I have allowed imagination and sympathy to wither.
Routine has been my ally and honesty my dread.
Lord God, I have shut myself up.
Come after me again, knock once more,
that I may open up to meet others,
rediscover myself, know your love and to live again
through your will and not my own.

Additional Prayer From The Bible

"Listen, Lord, as I pray!
You are faithful and honest and will answer my prayer.
I am your servant.
Don't try me in your court,
because no one is innocent by your standards.
My enemies are chasing me, crushing me in the ground.
I am in total darkness, like someone long dead.
I have given up all hope and I feel numb all over.
I remember to think about the many
things you did in years gone by.
Then I lift my hands in prayer,
because my soul is a desert, thirsty for water from you."
Psalm 143

Scriptures After Confession

You were told that your foolish desires will destroy you and that you must give up your old way of life with all its bad habits. Let the Spirit change your way of thinking and make you into a new person. You were created to be like God, and so you must please him and be truly holy. Ephesians 4:22-24

...You must think of yourselves as dead to the power of sin. But Christ Jesus has given life to you, and you live for God.
Romans 6:11

Reflections

When we receive the forgiveness of another, the depths of our personalities are disturbed. For it means that the worst in us has been accepted and that means a kind of death. We have no need to fight our own worst selves any more. And it is hard to receive this truth. We turn against our forgiver in self-justification. How dare you accept me as I am and not condemn me? So folk turn against Christ for accepting them. But God's forgiveness is without condition. It sweeps us off our feet. We want to make conditions, so that there can still be a core under our control. Let go completely this is death but it is necessary if we are to find life. To let go into God

Final Prayer

With all my heart I praise the Lord,
and with all that I am
I praise his holy name!
With all my heart I praise the Lord!
I will never forget
how kind he has been.
The Lord forgives our sins, heals us when we are sick,
and protects us from death.
His kindness and love are
a crown on our heads.
Each day that we live,
he provides for our needs
and gives us the strength
of a young eagle.
Psalm 103

Thats all there is to it. If you would like us to pray for you please feel free to submit your prayer request to us.

God Bless Everyone... Hope this helps you to understand Confession to our Lord Jesus. May the Holy Spirit and all Loving Grace be given to all people whom accepts Christ.
